The services and benefits in question and the amount involved, i.e. the level of cover and amount of any cost participation, will be communicated prior to hospital admission as part of the commitment to provide cover.
How the co-payment works
In choosing a co-payment, you choose to pay a share of the cost of inpatient treatments and outpatient procedures, or during stays at a rehabilitation or psychiatric facility, out of your own pocket. In return, you save on premiums.
- Option 1: No co-payment
- Option 2: 25%, max. CHF 5,000 / calendar year
- Option 3: 50%, max. CHF 10,000 / calendar year
In addition, you pay the deductible, retention fee and hospital contribution under basic insurance.
Additional costs for providers not on the list
Every time you seek treatment from a service provider who does not feature on the list for your chosen category, you will have to pay a higher share of the costs.
